Seven people — including a 10-year-old and four teenagers — were hospitalized with injuries after being bitten by two dogs Tuesday afternoon in Atlantic City. The incident unfolded around 3:40 p.m. on the 1300 block of Baltic Avenue when two juveniles walking their dogs in a fenced-in area encountered a third dog, Atlantic City police said in a statement.

The dogs became “aggressive” toward each other and broke free from their owners. “Without warning, it appears the dogs then turned on the juveniles and began attacking them,” police said.

The dogs then attacked others who came to help. A city employee in the area managed to hold down one dog until Animal Control of South Jersey arrived.

A portion of the attack was captured from a nearby apartment and shared with AtlanticCity911, a local Facbook page.

The injured include a 10-year-old, two 13-year-olds, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old. The adults hurt are 37 and 62. All the injuries are not considered life-threatening.
